Odeon cinema in Epsom and Ewell
About Odeon cinema
The Odeon cinema in Epsom was built during the 1990s and positioned in the Upper High Street. The multiplex consists of eight screens spread over two floors and also boasts a well stocked snack and confectionery bar. There is also off street parking behind the cinema; both the Depot Road car park and the Upper High Street car park are pay and display but have a one off fee for the evenings.
Prior to the Epsom Odeon being built, the local cinema had been an ABC cinema located on the Kingston Road in Ewell. This was small in comparison and had a large ‘A’ screen for the popular films and a smaller ‘B’ screen, often used for children’s films and the popular Saturday Morning Kid’s Club. The much loved cinema finally closed its doors for the final time on the 23rd April 1998, only to be later demolished and turned into a block of flats.
