Something I’ve noticed in many homes around Epsom is that carpets can begin to look tired even when they are vacuumed regularly.

The reason is often that vacuuming removes loose debris but not the fine soil particles that slowly settle deeper into the carpet fibres. Over time this soil builds up and affects both the appearance and the feel of the carpet.

I was recently reading about the different professional approaches to carpet cleaning in Epsom and how deep cleaning methods are designed to flush out the soil that regular household cleaning cannot remove.

Some simple habits that seem to help maintain carpets between deeper cleans include:

  • Vacuuming high-traffic areas more frequently
  • Using entrance mats at doorways
  • Removing shoes indoors
  • Cleaning spills as quickly as possible

It would be interesting to hear what others in Epsom and nearby areas do to keep carpets looking good in busy households.
